Family mourns ‘senseless death’ as killer gets 10-year sentence

Brenda Holloway said she and her husband, Harry, were thrust into a nightmare five years ago, the day their son was shot dead in a central Lubbock supermarket parking lot as he loaded groceries into his car one morning.

The retired couple, who are in their 70s, took in their son’s widow and 3-year-old daughter as they struggled with the loss of their first-born son.

“Nothing can compare to the pain we felt and continue to feel when we think of our son’s senseless death,” she said…
