A powerful weather system is set to sweep across the South, bringing severe storms, heavy rainfall, and heightened fire risks, the NWS Weather Prediction Center stated.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) Weather Prediction Center, an Enhanced Risk of severe weather (Level 3/5) is in place across the Tennessee and Lower Mississippi Valleys, extending into Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas (ArkLaTex). Residents should prepare for large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes.
