Lubbock-area fans of boba tea, Korean corndogs and adorable desserts will no longer need to drive several hours south to find all of these in one place. The popular Midland-Odessa restaurant, Kokomo, is officially open for business in Lubbock, just four months after confirming the new space.
Kokomo Korean Corndog, Mochi Donuts & Boba Tea, 5217 82nd St., #106. kicked off the soft opening of the new restaurant on Monday, which will continue until Saturday’s grand opening. The first day already had a number of customers experiencing their signature dishes, including:
- K-Dogs, a play on a corndog with an option of sausage, cheese or half-and-half. Breading options are Classic, Flamin’ (Cheetos), or Potato.
- A number of boba, fruit and milk teas, all served in store-branded cups unique to Kokomo. Canned sodas and water bottles are available as well.
- Ube (purple yam) Cheesecake, Vietnamese Jelly Pudding, and Crepe Cakes. Mochi Ice Cream and Mochi Donuts will be available.
- Bacon Mac & Cheese Bites, fries and a selection of appetizers and sides.
The hours will be 3-8 p.m. until Saturday, which will expand hours to 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Customers attending the soft opening days should look for stickers on the bottom of their drinks, which could result in them winning a prize.
