There’s a little Korean fried chicken joint tucked away at 3211 50th Street, Suite A—right across from Monterey High School—and it’s owned by one of the nicest guys in town. His name’s Joe, and the man knows his way around a fryer. The first time I walked in, Joe greeted me with a big smile, and he’s been just as friendly every single time since. You can tell he really cares about every customer who walks through those doors.
What Does Kokio Chicken Taste Like?
Now let me tell you about this chicken. It’s not your average fried chicken—it’s Korean Fried Chicken, and that’s a whole different level of crispy! Korean fried chicken is famous for being double-fried, which gives it that paper-thin, crackly crust that stays crispy even after it’s sauced up.
