LUBBOCK, Texas — Open Door on Friday invited the community to its 4th Annual Fun Run to End Homelessness taking place Saturday, April 12 at 9 a.m. The event is an effort to raise awareness for people experiencing poverty, homelessness and sex trafficking in Lubbock, Open Door said.
The community event will start at Open Door, 1918 13th Street, and be followed by a post-run breakfast. Participants were encouraged to run, walk, ride or roll their way through the one-mile route.
According to Open Door, there was also a virtual option “for participants who prefer to move to end homelessness on their own time.”…
