Lubbock first responders forced to use Jaws of Life to rescue driver in crash

LUBBOCK, Texas — A two vehicle crash on Friday resulted in first responders having to use hydraulic tools, also known as the Jaws of Life, to rescue a driver in a two-car crash at around 8 a.m.

The crash occurred just outside of Shallowater on County Road 5400 and North County Road 1900 between a Jeep Grand Cherokee and an F-150.

The F-150 driver was rescued after being trapped and received moderate, but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital…
