Texas Tech fans must be thrilled with recent social media post from Behren Morton

There is no question that Texas Tech football fans have sky-high expectations for the 2025 season. After all, the program has spent a fortune to bring the nation’s top-rated transfer class to Lubbock in hopes of finally capturing its first conference title since 1994. However, the key to this fall’s success could be the health of starting QB Behren Morton . Fortunately, it appears he is well on his way to being 100% by the start of camp after offseason shoulder surgery.

Tuesday on X, Morton posted a video in which he is not only throwing a football again, but he is doing so with some zip. In the clip, he stands flat-footed and wings the ball 15 yards down the field on a line with little effort.

Morton wrote in the post, “Feels good getting back slingin it!”. While it has to be exciting for the senior to be back to throwing the ball after months of rehab, the sight of him doing so should also help ease concerns among the fan base…
