LUBBOCK, Texas — Buffalo Springs Lake is a popular spot for outdoor recreation near Lubbock, but many residents still wonder — is it safe to swim there?
While the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department website features a list of State Parks with lakes, rivers and creeks ideal for swimming, Buffalo Springs Lake is not included — not because it’s unsafe, but because it is not a Texas state park and therefore not managed by TPWD.
