LUBBOCK, Texas — Cade Powell, born and raised in Brownfield, has created Flatland Youth Fund . A non-profit that gives scholarships to kids who need help paying for fees for youth sports.
The idea all started after his wife called him, asking if they could donate the money to help a child in Brownfield play softball. After anonymously donating the money, Powell wanted to continue to help other kids in West Texas.
