Lubbock loves restaurants, but usually for a short time. It can be only the littlest of things that can take a place from packed to desolate in nothing flat.
I was motoring around the Loop yesterday at around 5:00. Yes, it was a Sunday, but you’d still think that the newer restaurants would show some signs of life. I saw a new restaurant I was meaning to try and thought, “oh, that’s where that is”.
The problem with my restaurant sighting was that my next thought was, why is that place empty at dinner time on the weekend? This is the type of thing that causes concern for some of us, and we immediately start thinking somethings wrong with the place even if it isn’t.
