LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – A Wind Advisory is in effect for the western and parts of the central South Plains, including Lubbock, until 9 p.m. Wind speeds ramped up as of 3 p.m. with gusts across most of the region around 40 to 45 mph.
Winds will begin to diminish slightly after sunset, but will remain breezy. This should help keep overnight lows mild again in the 60s, with some locations in the northern portion of the viewing area in the low to mid 50s behind the cold front Thursday morning.
