LUBBOCK, Texas— Stephen Patrick Furr, 29, has agreed to plead guilty to a charge in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, Lubbock Division, concerning the online threats indicating he intended to carry out a school shooting.

As part of the deal, he agreed to plead guilty to one count of Interstate Threatening Communications. Federal court records also said a mental examination determined Furr is mentally competent for proceedings and understands the charges against him.
