NiJaree Canady was nearly perfect in Thursday’s Women’s College World Series opener to get No. 12 Texas Tech its first-ever win at the tournament.
The job is not done for the Red Raiders, as they are two wins away from reaching the championship series. Texas Tech will take on No. 9 UCLA on Saturday in the winner’s bracket with a chance to move one step closer to its first national championship.
