Tuesday front brings slim chance for storms, Wednesday will be cooler

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – A cold front is continuing to push south through the region this afternoon, providing storm chances for areas off to the east and off of the Caprock. Behind the cold front, temperatures have cooled several degrees into the 70s, and areas south and southeast of the frontal boundary will continue to see warmer temperatures as southerly winds continue to bring warm air into the region. Highs have topped out in the 80s and 90s across the rest of the viewing area.

A few thunderstorms have developed outside of the viewing area this afternoon. There is also storm initiation along the frontal boundary across the northern Texas Panhandle and western Oklahoma, where these storms will continue to build and track…..
