Cooler Temperatures and Rain Chances Continue For Lubbock, For Now

There is some good and bad news in the short term forecast. And if you are a fan of somewhat cooler temperatures in early June, you are probably going to love the next few days.

But it’s June in Texas and we all know what that means. It’s going to warm up soon and hot temperatures will become the norm around here for a few months.

Cooler Temperatures For Lubbock

Monday’s high temperatures in and around Lubbock will be in the upper 70’s to low 80’s depending on cloud cover. There is a chance of rain and the possibility of severe weather, but nothing like we saw at the end of last week and over the weekend.

Cooler temperatures will continue through the middle of the week with highs in the lower to mid 80’s. Again, pretty great for June. Unless of course, you enjoy hot temperatures. If that’s you, don’t worry triple digit weather could arrive by Sunday or Monday.

Will There Be Anymore Severe Weather for Lubbock?

Rain chances continue for the next three days and while there is a chance of severe weather on Monday, those chances are lower compared to last week. According to the National Weather Service, most of the severe stuff should be contained to the Texas/New Mexico border if anything does pop-up.

Summer Like Temperatures Move In This Weekend

Highs on Saturday could be in the mid to upper 90’s with high temperatures in the upper 90’s to over 100 Sunday through Tuesday. As of this writing, the Lubbock area will see high’s in the 90’s for most of the rest of this month…
