The Mysterious Closing of Bone Daddy’s in Lubbock

Another restaurant has closed in Lubbock, but no one really seems to know why or if the closure is temporary or permanent. But as the weeks go by, it certainly seems as though Bone Daddy’s has served its last customers in Lubbock.

Is Bone Daddy’s In Lubbock Closed?

As of this writing and for weeks leading up to this being published, the answer has been yes. There is a note on the front door of Bone Daddy’s saying the locks have been changed by the owners of the building. Typically, that means the restaurant hasn’t paid rent or has closed. Either way, it’s not a good look for a restaurant group that has been down to only a few remaining locations.

The original Bone Daddy’s in Dallas closed in December of 2024 leaving two locations in Texas. One in Arlington, the other here in Lubbock. Google states that the location in Arlington is also listed as “temporarily closed”. That location was open until a vehicle hit the building causing a fire and electrical issues.

The location in Lubbock, off West Loop 289, has been listed as “temporarily closed” for weeks now. But there has been no official reason given about the closure or if they will ever re-open the doors.
