LUBBOCK, Texas — Summer has begun in the South Plains and while that means that people are going outside more to enjoy the summer sun, that also means insects are going to become more active and start trying to get in.

Prevent infestation with the best ant killers
Ants These are pretty easy to identify and can usually be killed with either bait or ant killer, but if you’re looking for a more natural remedy, you can try vinegar in a spray bottle, some cayenne pepper or any essential oils you may have. These substances have a strong smell and taste to ants which will disrupt their scent trails, leaving them scrambling for a way home.
If you need something a bit bigger, try diatomaceous earth.
