Lubbock police arrest four suspects in gunfight incident

LUBBOCK, Texas — Four people were arrested Saturday after a fight led to multiple shots being fired.

According to court documents, officers were flagged down and told that a white Chevrolet at the Stripes near 50th Street had fired gunshots. When they arrived, police were told by victims that the white Chevrolet had followed them from CC’s Bar and Grill to the Stripes before the suspects got out.

They were later identified, according to court documents, as Cristian Jimenez, 24, Jose Jimenez, 19, Marisol Briana Jimenez, 22, and Samiya Rutherford, 24.

According to the testimony in court documents, the suspects used a glass bottle to break the victims’ car’s rear window before Rutherford and Marisol Jimenez began to hit one victim while Jose Jimenez grabbed another victim from behind and began to strangle him…
