LUBBOCK, Texas–Court documents have disclosed details of a robbery that occurred on Friday, June 27, resulting in the arrest of 39-year-old Enriquez Ybarra.
Prison for Lubbock man for role in officer-involved shooting
The victim was at the park near 40th Street and Avenue A when Enriquez Ybarra approached her. The victim had a folding pocket knife lying next to her, when Ybarra walked up to the victim, he picked up the knife and demanded the victim give him her purse. The victim then ran from the scene to the area of the Copper Rawlings Senior Center, where she called the police.
An officer responding to the scene was told Ybarra was southbound on Avenue A and was given a description of the suspect.

While driving eastbound on the 42nd Street from the interstate, the officer observed a male matching the description wearing a red shirt behind the closed down tobacco road smoke shop located at 42nd and Avenue A.
When arrested, Ybarra was in possession of the bag that he stole from the victim. As of Monday, Ybarra remained in the Lubbock County Detention Center on bonds totaling $61,500.00…
