LEVELLAND, Texas (KCBD) – A lot can take place in just under 100 years, and the Wallace Theater has certainly seen its fair share of history during that time.
“In the late (19)20s, it was obviously not necessarily an incredibly fruitful time for the country or particularly for the area, so it served as a respite for people,” theater board member Dillon Palmer Webb said.
Originally constructed in 1928 by Wallace and Rose Blankenship, the Wallace Theater served as an entertainment hub in Levelland at a time when the movie industry was in the midst of its “golden age”…
