Lubbock man sentenced to 10 years deferred adjudication for fatal overdose

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – A Lubbock defendant was sentenced by a judge to 120 days in jail and 10 years deferred adjudication for his involvement in dealing fetanyl that killed one person.

Last month, Casey Bledsoe entered an open plea deal to giving Jacob Johnson less than a gram of fentanyl in 2023.

“This case is a tragic, tragic accident,” Bledso’s defense attorney said. “He has come before you and pleaded guilty, he is accepting his responsibility for his role in this.”…
