LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Another cloudy and cooler day across the South Plains, more scattered showers and a few rumbles of thunder are expected to continue into Wednesday night.
Severe weather remains unlikely. Most of the rain will be light, likely totaling less than a quarter inch. A few spots may briefly experience moderate rainfall, with somewhat heavier amounts possible.
Overnight lows will stay mild and muggy, dipping into the upper 60s and low 70s across the region.
Don’t put away the umbrella yet. Data today points to more of the same tomorrow. Occasional spotty rain showers with a few thundershowers possible. Generally cloudy with below average temperatures.
Thunderstorm and rain chances will diminish Independence Day.
