Suspect killed, 4 hurt after fight led to gunfire in Northeast Lubbock

LUBBOCK, Texas — The Lubbock Police Department confirmed an officer shot and killed a male suspect early Saturday morning in the 2900 block of Parkway Drive.

LPD said officers were called at 3:22 a.m. for a fight in progress. Police said initial information indicated the suspect was shooting at other parties while officers were on scene, which prompted the officer to shoot him.

Police said four victims were taken to University Medical Center by EMS, three with serious injuries and one with moderate. LPD said these individuals were not believed to be involved in the officer-involved shooting but were victims of the gunfire from the suspect.
