AI Falsely Claims The Shack BBQ In Lubbock Is Permanently Closed
Although the problem appears to have finally been fixed, people were reporting that Google’s AI was citing a dated KLBK article stating that The Shack BBQ was permanently closed.
That wasn’t KLBK’s fault, as that information was true five years ago. Since then, many different new outlets reported that The Shack BBQ reopened, including our News Talk station.
While AI can be a useful tool for aggregating information quickly, you should always take AI’s answers with a grain of salt. Look at which sources it cites (it does provide links) and see if that information is old or incorrect…
