Man accepts plea agreement for involvement in SWAT standoff at Lubbock hotel

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – A Lubbock man is awaiting sentencing after taking a plea agreement for a SWAT standoff last year.

On Sept. 18, law enforcement were attempting to serve a warrant for a parole violation to 39-year-old Felix Delarosa. When officers tried to contact him, he locked himself into a hotel room and fire multiple gunshots.

In that time, a sniper with the SWAT team shot and injured Delarosa. Officers deployed the Lubbock regional bomb squad robot and dispensed tear gas into the room…
