Family business opens storefront in Lubbock, offering savory and sweet treats

LUBBOCK, Texas — Amy and Adam Van Liew, owners of Crumbs LBK, said the business began as a hobby and a way to make some extra money after they moved to Lubbock from Phoenix, Arizona about three years ago. For a while, the family would sell homemade sourdough, cookies and freeze-dried candy at different spots like the Wolfforth Farmer’s Market, First Friday Art Trail and Comic Con.

But, the couple told Everythinglubbock.com it quickly grew out of the family kitchen, and now, they have their own storefront in a shopping center near Quaker and Woodrow Road. In addition to the sweet and savory treats, Crumbs LBK also started selling sodas at the new location.

“Our new mixed drinks are a new part of the business that we’ve integrated, and so we’ve all been learning that,” Amy said.
