TONIGHT:

Scattered showers and storms will increase across the region tonight through Saturday morning as a stalled out frontal boundary brings activity in from the northwest. Some storms could be on the strong to severe side, with damaging wind gusts as high as 80 MPH and hail as large as half dollar sized (1.25″ in diameter) being the primary concerns. Severe storms will be *possible* through 3 AM CDT. After that, isolated to scattered showers and storms will remain around the region through sunrise on Saturday, with the best chance remaining west of the Interstate 27 / Highway 87 corridor! Locally heavy rainfall could lead to some flash flooding, with some areas seeing 1-3″ of rainfall overnight. ***Not everyone will see severe storms, let alone rainfall. However, those that do could see the aforementioned threats.*** Be sure to remain weather aware! Lows will bottom out in the low 60s to mid 70s under a partly to most cloudy sky, with winds shifting from the southeast to the northeast. Sustained speeds of 10-15 MPH are likely.
