A Powerful Tribute To Victims Of The Central Texas Floods

Lubbock Congressman Jodey Arrington stood on the House floor this week to deliver an emotional and heartfelt tribute to the victims of the catastrophic Central Texas floods that swept through the Hill Country over the July 4th weekend.

Arrington Lost Constituents in the Floods

At least 134 lives were lost in the devastating flooding, including 27 young girls and counselors at Camp Mystic in Kerr County. Among those tragically taken were several of Arrington’s own constituents—West Texans whose stories embody resilience, love, and service.

Arrington, who currently serves as Chairman of the House Budget Committee, said:

I rise today to honor the lives lost. This is an unimaginable and heartbreaking loss for these families and for our great state…
