LUBBOCK, Texas — A Lubbock woman entered a guilty plea Monday following an incident that took place in September of 2023.
As EverythingLubbock.com originally reported, LFR responded to a potential structure fire at 5th Street and Walnut Avenue. LFR reported that there was no immediate harm caused to any individuals but a dog experienced severe burns.

According to court documents, Ny’Kia Spence had contacted the owner of the home on August 23 and issued a threat to burn down the residence. Then on September 11, LFR received information about the aforementioned incident. Spence was later charged for the event, with two felony counts of arson and burglary of a habitation. She was arrested on September 27 and was placed at Lubbock County Detention Center with a $175,000 bond.
Spence appeared before a judge Monday and pleaded guilty to the 1st degree felony charge, burglary of a habitation with intent to commit another felony, stemming from the September 11 incident. She received a 10 year prison sentence following the plea…
