Today & Tonight :Mostly sunny to partly cloudy conditions, breezy intervals, hotter and somewhat humid weather is forecast on this Thursday across the South Plains and the Rolling Plains. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are forecast this afternoon across portions of the area. Some thunderstorms may produce gusty wind. High temperatures will range from the lower 90s to the lower 100s. The wind will be out of the south-southwest 10 to 20 mph. The chance for rain is 30 percent.Sunrise is at 6:54 AM CDT.Scattered showers and thunderstorms are forecast this evening and overnight across portions of the area. Partly to mostly cloudy conditions, warm and somewhat humid weather is forecast this evening and tonight. Low temperatures will range from the middle 60s to the middle 70s. The wind will be out of the east 5 to 15 mph. The chance for rain is 30 percent.

Update: There is a “marginal” (1/5) risk for severe weather across portions of the South Plains and the Rolling Plains Thursday afternoon through early Friday morning. The primary threat is wind gusts up to 65 mph. Small hail is also possible with some storms and brief locally heavy rainfall.
