‘Keep your head held high’: Lubbock man with rare blood type seeks living donor, shares story

LUBBOCK, Texas— Twenty-three-year-old Leonardo Santiago-Torres was employed at the Lubbock County Detention Center in 2022 when he began to feel unwell. His condition worsened, and he ultimately had to be rushed to the hospital for treatment. There, he received a diagnosis that would change his life.
