LUBBOCK, Texas — Therapy horses at Texas Tech’s Riding Center are helping people cope with emotional, physical and cognitive disorders.
The Texas Tech Riding Center is a non-profit organization that utilizes horses and therapists to help people overcome a wide range of diagnoses. Their funding relies on donations and grants, which not only help purchase horses and riding gear but also help cover patients’ session costs. An open house and car show fundraiser will be held Saturday, August 2, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 5712 Alcove Avenue.
