LUBBOCK, Texas– Shoppers in Lubbock are seeing higher prices at the meat counter this summer, especially for popular cuts like brisket and tri-tip. According to Raider Red Meats, some beef prices have jumped by as much as 20%, and the trend isn’t likely to slow anytime soon.
“Normally we’ll see an opportunity where beef prices go a little bit down in the early spring,” said Tate Corliss, senior director of Raider Red Meats. “But this year, those prices stayed really steady.”
