We are just weeks away from the start of a new school year and districts around the state of Texas are deciding some last minute details when it comes to cell phone policy for their schools.
As we have reported before, Texas lawmakers passed legislation banning the use of cell phones and other personal communication devices during the day on school property. The law does allow for districts to set their own policy on how to implement the ban.
Lubbock-Cooper ISD Cell Phone Policy
Starting this school year, all students at in Lubbock-Cooper ISD will be required to leave their personal communication devices at home, or have them powered off and stored away and out of sight while on school property.
