Lubbock, Texas – Scattered storms may briefly cool parts of Lubbock Sunday evening, but the break won’t last long—temperatures are expected to soar into the upper 90s and push 100°F by midweek.
According to the National Weather Service in Lubbock, a 20% chance of thunderstorms will linger through 10 p.m. Sunday. Gusty outflows and brief downpours may accompany isolated cells, especially east of the city. Southeast winds between 5 to 10 mph will give way to warmer, drier air starting Monday.
