LUBBOCK, Texas— Lubbock native and beloved resident Ferlis Ellis, also known as Big E, has passed away on Saturday after a long battle with cancer, as announced on Big E’s BBQ’s social media page.
This news follows the recent celebration of the popular barbecue restaurant’s 21st anniversary in the Depot District.
