LUBBOCK, Texas — A Lubbock man, Justin Garcia, 36, was arrested Wednesday for shooting a gun in a vehicle while pulling a woman’s hair back in 2024, according to recently obtained court documents.

According to court documents, officers arrived at Blue Sky on October 25 after they received a call of shots fired near the 3200 block of 4th Street. The report said the incident itself did not happen at Blue Sky.

The victim told the officers at Blue Sky that she was at a family member’s home when Garcia showed up and took her keys and vehicle. The victim went with a family member to find the car, and they found it at one of Garcia’s family member’s homes. The family member of the victim went up to retrieve it while the victim remained in the car. Court records said Garcia snuck up to the victim’s vehicle, got into the back seat and began to pull on the victim’s hair.
