Ex-Lubbock Stripes employee accused of stealing deposits

LUBBOCK, Texas — A Lubbock woman, Roberta Comacho, 35, was arrested Friday in connection to a theft of between $2,500 and $30,000 from a Lubbock Stripes.

According to LPD, officers responded to the stripes on the 3100 block of North Loop 289 for a theft after an employee noticed that deposits for the company’s bank receipts were questionable.

Court documents said that the employee spoke with Comacho who said she would go to the bank and clear up the issue before she stopped answering phone calls and did not show up for work. Shortly after, the employee went to the bank and found that they had not received any deposits from February 6 to 13.

According to court documents, an arrest warrant for Comacho was issued on July 2 and Comacho was booked on August 1.

As of Wednesday morning, Comacho was held in the Lubbock County Detention Center on charges of theft of between $2,500 and $30,000 and had a bond of $19,900…
