Recognizing and reporting human trafficking in Lubbock

LUBBOCK, Texas–When we hear the phrase “human trafficking,” our minds often jump to images of people being snatched off the streets and lost without a trace. But according to Kasie Davis of the Lubbock Police Department, that’s far from the truth.

“Human trafficking is a very specific type of crime,” said Davis It’s often tied to drug addiction or to individuals brought into the country illegally with promises of a better life.”
