Investigators were advised of an argument between Guerra and his ex-girlfriend outside of the apartment. Detectives spoke with Menegay, whose statement was contradicted by details from other witnesses, court records said.

Court records said, “[The witnesses] stated they had not observed Guerra physically make any movements they believed was a threat towards Menegay or [the woman].”
