From Humble Beginnings to a Haunted Legacy Nightmare began in the front lot of the Lone Star Event Center, spending two years there before expanding to the back. From the start, it was an over-the-top hit. Calling it “successful” is an understatement — though in true haunted house fashion, most of the money went right back into making things scarier. That tradition continues today.
