Lubbock shooting and chase results in arrest of seven suspects

LUBBOCK, Texas— Court documents and the Lubbock Police Department have disclosed details of a shooting and pursuit that occurred on Sunday night, resulting in the arrest of 19-year-old Angel Martinez, 17-year-old Sebastian Martinez and 19-year-old Osceola Sanchez.

Former Crosby County deputy accused of theft and arrested

Officers were on a different call and heard shots firedin the area of 3100 block of East Canyon Lake Drive at 3:40 a.m. on Sunday, August 10.

As officers responded to the area, they saw the vehicle leaving and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The driver, a juvenile female,failed to stop, and a pursuit was started. During the pursuit, a suspect left the vehicle at East 29th Street and Ute Avenue with a firearm. The officer saw a man ,later identified as Sebastian Martinez, jump out of the vehicle. Sebastian Martinez was later captured.

Two more suspects jumped from the vehicle at East 30th Street and Walnut Avenue as the vehicle continued to flee. The vehicle came to a stop in the 2400 block of East 29th Street where an additional two suspects exited and fled on foot, One identified as Angel Martinez, Officers detained three additional people inside the vehicle.
