LUBBOCK, Texas — A senior at Lubbock High School continued to work on her non-profit, Safe & Seen Lubbock, she founded when she was just 16 years old, to help educate middle school girls about being safe and self defense. The student’s name was Meridith Bradley, and the non-profit went to Hutchinson Middle School consistently to take self-defense classes and leadership activities.

“They’re just all such sweet girls and it’s just like it’s wonderful to get to know them and help prepare them for stuff to help them avoid all the terrible things I saw. And honestly, it’s just kind of building a community which I is like a great feeling,” Bradley said.
It all started when Bradley started volunteering at Lubbock Legal Aid.
“That’s a pro bono law firm here in town that kind of specializes in protective orders and divorces for women who can’t afford it on their own,” Bradley said. “I wanted to start this early on and just kind of protect the women I saw in such bad situations all summer.”…
