LUBBOCK, Texas — Lubbock native and Senior Chief Musician Casey Campbell had the opportunity to serve through music with the U.S. Navy Band in Washington, D.C., as the Navy celebrates its 250th birthday this year.
The US Navy Band performs concerts and ceremonies across the National Capital Region and on national tours. On Aug. 11, Campbell sang on the United States Capitol’s West Steps.
According to Navy officials, “America is a maritime nation and for 250 years, America’s Warfighting Navy has sailed the globe in defense of freedom.”…
