SHALLOWATER, Texas–Braylee Manney, 13-year-old Shallowater resident, is looking for a new horse upon the unexpected death of her best friend, Tex.

Manney was returning home after a rodeo and drove upon the scene of her beloved partner hit by a motor vehicle. The horse tragically passed away leaving Manney and her family racing against the clock.

Aiming to qualify for the Junior National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, Manney and her family are in search of a horse to compete on in the December race.
