TxDOT to accept public input on US 87/FM 41 bridge project

LUBBOCK, Texas (NEWS RELEASE BY TxDOT) – Citizens are invited to log on to a virtual public meeting for information on a project in Lubbock County that will continue construction on the US 87 bridge at FM 41. A pre-recorded, narrated video presentation for the proposed project will be available starting day, Monday, August 25 at 10 a.m. on the Texas Department of Transportation (search “FM 41 at US 87 Bridge Project”) website. Citizens can access meeting materials, the comment form and request project updates on the TxDOT website.

TxDOT is preparing to accept bids in December 2025 on a project that will complete the US 87 bridge at FM 41 and make improvements to the existing frontage roads located in southern Lubbock County. The public meeting will present proposed detour details to the public and allow for delivery of proposed timelines and status of project construction.
