The United Family raises $500K from annual golf tournament

LUBBOCK, Texas — Following the opening round of their annual Jacky Pierce Charity Classic golf tournament, The United Family announced that they had raised $500K from the event. These funds directly benefit local 24 non-profits, with checks being presented to the various organizations at a celebratory dinner Sunday night.

The tournament continues to be a success year after year, as throughout its history it has allowed the company to raise over $7 million to help non-profits across the region. When speaking on the impact the JPCC, President of The United Family, Sidney Hopper said that it is a core piece of their mission to support the communities they serve.

“Making a positive impact on our communities is at the forefront of our mission and, after 34years, the Jacky Pierce Charity Classic continues to be a major part of that,” he said. Hopper continued, “The non-profit organizations, including The United Way, that benefit from this tournament do an outstanding job of improving our communities. We know these funds will have a huge impact on the thousands of people they serve.”

Hopper also praised their partners who help put on the event every year, stating that without their like-minded support, they would be unable to have the same amount of success.

The JPCC is still underway, with play set to resume on Monday for the final four rounds. While the on-the-course action has yet to end, the tournament has already begun to make an impact on the surrounding communities…
