Texas Tech University scored a massive win after it was announced that the 2025-2026 enrollment numbers broke the school’s record. Over 10,000 undergraduate students are expected with more than 7,600 of them being first-time college students.
Why Is Texas Tech Enrollment So High This Year?
Other than the fact that Texas Tech is an awesome school and one of the best in the country (okay, maybe as an alum, I’m a little biased), there are some key factors that led to the 2025 school year’s largest enrollment in the institution’s history.
Diverse Opportunities at Texas Tech
First, Tech has countless opportunities for students interested in a wide variety of fields. For example, during my time as an undergrad, there were students volunteering at the on-campus radio station from all majors and degree paths.
There are also numerous study abroad opportunities or chances for students to gain lab-work experience in a variety of science, engineering, and math fields.
TTU Faculty and Staff
For would-be students who prefer paths in music, theater, or athletics, Texas Tech is continually drawing eyes on their wonderful programs and new hires that exemplify the university’s success and commitment to top-tier education.
