LUBBOCK, Texas– Marsha Johnson is the owner of Sweet Creations bakery located at 1308 Broadway. A few days ago, Johnson turned to Facebook sharing a raw post about struggling with getting customers in the bakery. This post went viral on Facebook with nearly 800 shares and over 1,000 likes.
“We were trying to figure out ways to get somebody to come in the door. I figured what better way to go than to reach out to them on Facebook to try to get some people to come through the door…and they answered the call,” Johnson said.

Johnson has been creating cakes and treats for almost two decades and said this is a common struggle for small businesses. She said she and her staff were overwhelmed and thankful for the support they received from the Lubbock community.
“This case was jam packed…by the end of the day it was empty. We ended up staying till probably 1:30 a.m. to fill it. Each day in the process, they cleared it out multiple times within the day…” Johnson said.
