Testing Trust: Criminal trial delayed for Lubbock businessmen Joshua Allen and Michael Cox

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Lubbock businessmen accused in a federal indictment of operating a “massive Ponzi fraud scheme” will have more time to prepare for trial.

In July 2025, a federal grand jury indicted Joshua Allen, Michael Cox and their San Antonio counterpart, Brooklynn Chandler Willy, on one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering, one count of conspiracy to launder monetary instruments, and one count of securities fraud.
